The Social and Emotional Competence Game

The Social and Emotional Competence Game will help your students build empathy, communication skills, self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, self-management, and responsible decision-making all while having fun.

This game is designed to easily integrate into existing programs. Use it one on one or in a small group. To play spin the spinner and then choose a card from one of the following areas: sharing feelings, getting along, caring, communication, and cooperating. This is a great way to bring up challenging issues in a relaxed non-judgmental environment.

Players roll the dice and move their tokens around the game board and answer questions posed on the situation cards, earning chips for each correct response. There are also some game spaces that may cause a player to loose chips. The player with the most chips at the end is the "winner."

Designed for 2-6 players.

Recommended for ages 6-14.

Note: this game is difficult for anyone who doesn't have abstract reasoning skills.
