The workbook equips readers with the nine essential coping skills to handle challenging real-life situations and serves as a foundational tool to help children build emotional self-care. Grouped in chapters according to skills, the exercises give students a chance to actively participate in their learning experience, thereby helping them to more fully understand the concepts and raise their self-esteem. The reproducible workbook is meant to be used by the adult facilitator.

Coping Skills Board Game:
Through game play, students learn how to build their frustration tolerance when facing real-life academic and social challenges. The Coping Skills game teaches essential skills for emotional self-care, including how to identify and accept feelings, verbalize needs, and use tools to help curb disruptive behavior. It utilizes research and evidence-based methods to help students build CASEL skills in the areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
This is a very helpful resource for students with anxiety, anger, and self regulation challenges. To play, students roll the dice and move across the board, drawing Situation and Coping Skills cards as indicated. They must identify feelings or decide which coping skill will help the Situations. Scenarios are based on common challenges students face. With each correct answer, players earn a chip. The player with the most chips at the end of the game wins.
