The Story Starters set contains 134 extra-large (4" x 6") cards designed to get students making and telling stories. These cards are designed to help students improve oral and written language skills through storytelling, describing, questioning, inferencing, writing, and higher level thinking activities. The full-color photos cover a wide variety of topics, from sports players celebrating to napping lionesses and children building a snowman– with so much content to choose from, it’s fun for students to choose a prompt they find interesting.
To play, simply shuffle the cards, have your students choose a photo, and then have them write or tell a story about the scene. This versatile set can be used individually or in groups, and is a great way to enhance oral and written language skills at home or in the classroom.
The content card features instructions in six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese.
