Each book in this 3 book series features 30 stories with controlled vocabulary, short sentences, simple sentence structure, cloze reading, and repetitive words. Simple line art illustrations provide additional visual cues for students. The high interest, low reading level stories are specifically designed to strengthen reading fluency, reading comprehension, and confidence.
Each story is followed with basic reading comprehension questions and fill in the blank sentences using a word bank. A writing prompt encourages students to briefly practice basic writing skills with 1 -3 sentence responses.
