The Conduct Management Set is a powerful resource designed to reduce conduct problems and oppositional behavior in children and adolescents. This set includes a game and a workbook, both created by Berthold Berg, Ph.D., providing engaging materials both parents and professionals can use. The set utilizes research and evidence-based methods to help students build CASEL skills in the areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
The Conduct Management Workbook includes a collection of engaging scenarios that help children and adolescents learn how to identify and manage their behaviors effectively. These activities allow you to easily structure effective intervention sessions and encourage parental involvement in the learning process. The workbook scenarios and questions are organized in 5 parts: Deciding Whether Others Are Acting With Hostility; Taking the Point of View of Authority Figures; Using Self-Talk to Control Behavior; Praising Yourself for Appropriate Behavior; Solving Problems.
40 pages.
Ages: 8 and up
The Conduct Management Game offers an interactive and dynamic experience as players move around the game board to practice new skills. Behavior inventories are provided in the instruction booklet, and cards are chosen for the game deck according to the student’s inventory results. Game cards correspond to 22 inventory behaviors, and are coded to correspond to the five cognitive skills addressed: Attribution, Perspective-Taking, Self-Instruction, Self-Reinforcement, and Problem-Solving. Players earn chips as they respond to the cards, and the person with the most chips at the end of game time is the winner.
Follow-up, references, and social behavior inventories are included in the accompanying instruction booklet. (Please note: Several cards cover topics which address sensitive subjects that may not be appropriate for all players. We recommend reviewing the cards before playing and removing any that you feel may be inappropriate for your specific group.)
