Anger Alert

Anger Alert is an educational card game designed to help children recognize and manage the physical warning signs of anger. Developed by Max Nass, LMHC, and Marcia Nass, MS, this game introduces kids to ten simple strategies they can use to calm down and regain control when anger arises. This comprehensive set provides therapists, educators, and caregivers with the resources they need to promote healthy anger expression and emotional wellbeing in children.

As they play, players are presented with a variety of anger-inducing scenarios– but before reacting, they must invert an hourglass timer and wait for seven seconds. This delay encourages children to pause and think before acting, building impulse control and emotional regulation skills.

The game includes a double-sided poster featuring both anger warning signs and control strategies, providing a helpful reference tool, as well as four sand timers in a variety of engaging colors. A helpful Introductory Guide is also included, facilitating effective implementation. Accommodating 2 to 4 players, Anger Alert offers a structured and supportive way to teach anger management in a fun and interactive setting.
