Next, students read a high-interest mini mystery that takes place in the location they just learned about. The After You Read section follows with 10 skill-specific questions related to the mystery, including skills such as identifying the main idea, making inferences, drawing conclusions, cause and effect, determining the author's intent, understanding context clues, recognizing text features, and more.
The 200-page binder is organized with dividers for easy navigation. The included Resource CD provides all the contents of the binder in PDF format, along with a list of reading levels, a list of the Common Core State Standards met by this resource, plus eight bonus mysteries and activities for extended learning opportunities.
