Kordy weighted stuffed animals give young children calming deep pressure in the most approachable form there is: a soft corduroy friend in their lap. The gentle weight helps settle wiggly, anxious, or overstimulated kids while the ribbed fabric adds soothing tactile input under little hands.
Kordys are ideal for children 2 and up (with adult supervision) who benefit from deep pressure but won't sit still using a lap pad or blanket. A weighted animal doesn't feel like a therapy tool — it feels like a stuffed friend, which is exactly why it works. Choose from nine animals, each weighing 1.5 to 3 pounds: Donkey, Monkey, and Puppy at 3 lbs; Bear at 2.5 lbs; Owl at 2 lbs; Bunny, Dinosaur, and Hedgehog at 1.5 lbs. Lighter weights suit toddlers and younger children; the 3-lb animals suit bigger kids who need more input. As with any weighted product, the child should be able to remove it from their lap independently.
