This set is designed to introduce the abstract concept of the following feelings: happy, sad, mad, scared, and silly. Designed by therapists to help children build CASEL skills in the areas of self-awareness and self-management, this set builds emotional courage, resilience, empathy, emotion identification, and builds healthy attachments.

Kids will be encouraged to recognize and share their emotions when they feel them. Ibex, used in role play, teaches that emotions are a gift and that recognizing our emotions is courageous. The board book incorporates mindfulness strategies that Ibex uses to greet his feelings and positively express them. The full color affirmation card acts as a visual reminder and reinforcement of concepts from the book.
