Handling Money

The 14 lessons in the Handling Money workbook will help guide students through some of the pitfalls of having money for the first time. Students will learn how to set up a bank account, become smart consumers, and navigate the digital world of online banking and digital payment systems. Short passages of text and illustrations encourage reluctant readers to engage and participate in the lesson.

Each lesson includes a story and two pages of questions. Each story is 400-470 words with an average reading level of grades 3-4 according to the Flesch-Kincaid readability score. The first workbook page asks specific questions with answers found in the text. The second page asks questions that align with Common Core Standards. A skills chart aligns each lesson to Common Core standards.
