Spelligator

Spelligator is a hands-on, interactive game that is perfect for building phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling skills, and learning common letter patterns. In this activity, players take turns placing tiles to create words that they can place on the Spelligator. With two levels of difficulty—Rookie for beginners and Expert for a challenge—this game offers endless educational fun that follows the Science of Reading.  In addition, the game helps students strengthen CASEL relationship skills as they offer support and problem solve together during play.  

The unique tile shapes guide children through beginning, middle, and final sounds, and are designed to foster a self-corrective learning process. Each tile is color-coded for common spelling clusters and patterns for added reinforcement. This game covers various letter combinations including consonants, vowels, digraphs, and blends, providing a versatile educational tool. 

With 4 included Spelligators, the game can be played by a minimum of two players, or can even accommodate small classroom groups and team play. The 75 letter tiles are designed for easy manipulation by young children, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable word-building experience.
