A great way to help your child understand social cues is with Photo Social Stories. Every day we are faced with situations that have social expectations that children with autism and Asperger's syndrome don't always understand. This game is designed to target specific this specific area of social skills and help kids develop them while having fun!

This game helps kids become aware of social expectations and more relaxed in social situations through recognition of familiar photos. Use this item one on one or as a group, at home or in the classroom! The focus of this set is family and the key points are:

To begin, a teacher or facilitator must hold up one Photo Social Story Card to the players, showing the picture while reading The Story, The Facts, and The Questions from the back of the card. Then, he/she uses the questions to initiate conversation and critical thinking about the topic.
Each story is written in first person with straightforward language, and is also broken down into clear bullet points in The Facts section. The questions are designed to connect the story to players' personal experiences, showing how the skills can be applied in daily life.
